We at Kalinda Jade Studios believe that a knowledge and appreciation of music and the arts are fundamental to the development of each individual's mind, body and soul and that the arts provide unique opportunities for cultural exchange and community understanding.
Singing / Vocal
Skill Level - Beginner - Professional
Minimum Starting Age - 7 years old (this is managed on a case by case basis)
Our Creative Director is a professional singer and develops each vocal student's individual syllabus with their teaching artist. Whether it is metal, theatre, jazz or classical, this studio has the necessary skills and professional experience to ensure that each student receives a comprehensive learning experience based on singing songs using techniques, rather than a world surrounded by arbitrary scales.
Music For Students With Specialised Needs
Everyone knows that music is a universal language and for people who have barriers to communication, social interaction or emotional language, music is especially well-suited to their needs because it helps capture and helps maintain attention.
Depending on the person's placement on the spectrum or nature of the barrier, music assists with communication in different ways. For those at the severe end, music is often the means of communication. Music can allow non-verbal students to communicate without language and foster creative self-expression.
Piano
Skill Levels - Beginner - Professional
Minimum Starting Age - 5 years (must be able to recognise the alphabet and basic words)
When a student wants to learn piano they have the benefit of learning all about the world of music in order to play their instrument. With that in mind, we ensure that at the beginning of all students tuition they learn all aspects of technique and genres, from Classical, Boogie Woogie, Jazz and Blues. We ensure that all piano students learn all aspects of piano playing as well as keyboard playing. Each piano student is required to learn the theory as a part of their regular scheduled lessons. Based on age and/or ability theory is taught through the use of games, activity sheets, computer software, IPAD apps and other resources. We make it a fun and essential part of their learning experience.
Guitar/Bass
Skill Level - Beginner - Professional
Minimum Starting Age - 7 years old (this is managed on a case by case basis)
Our guitar teachers have got you covered from Classical, Jazz, Rock n Roll to Metal. Whether it's acoustic you've got on your mind, or the buzz of the electric pulsating through your hands, our teachers have expertise in all techniques, theory and genres to suit your needs. We work with children, adults, music students and professional musicians and we develop an individual syllabus to suit the needs of each individual student. Each student is also taught how to tune, re-string and carry general maintenance on their guitar.
